A. About Kalembwani and Arm Chair Hike
Kalembwani is a wonderful hiking destination located along Mombasa road just a few Km past Salama town. The beauty of Kalembwani consists of its Savanna environmental coverage seen way from Mombasa road to the top of the hill.
We start our hike by accessing historic caves located down the Kalembwani hill and by midday we gather downhill for a short break.
We embark to climbing the hill to the top which resembles an ‘Arm Chair that carried a lot of history about the local community and their relationship with neighbouring more famous Maasai.
We may encounter some wildlife along the way to the top that is resident in that region.
You will be surprised to see water fall in an area that is mostly referred to as a dry land.
Terrain: Dirty rocky trail.
Recommended Dress Code: Due to above mentioned terrain, boots with excellent grip recommended. We expect good weather but always carry a raincoat and warm jacket should weather change. Avoid shorts and “tights” if you mind weeds and shrubs.
