PAYMENTS
For all the services contracted, certain advance payment should be made to hold the booking, on a confirmed basis & the balance amount can be paid upon arrival in the country before the commencement of the services. The management holds the right to decide upon the amount to be paid as advance payment, based on the nature of the service & the time left for the commencement of the service.

All transactions are processed in local currencies unless otherwise specified. The applicable conversion charges (‘Additional Charges’) may therefore be levied by your merchant bank if payment is made from another country outside of the country you are booking in and/or in another currency other than local currency. The Additional Charges are driven by the global treasury of the applicable credit card and are impacted by the change in daily exchange rates. Shall therefore NOT BE HELD LIABLE for any Additional Charges levied by the applicable merchant, or bank pursuant to the confirmation of a Booking.

In some cases where holiday specials and peak season offers are concerned, full payment is required to secure the booking.

CANCELLATION & REFUNDS POLICY:
In the event of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reason/s, a written notification is required. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date that the written advice is received. The following is the criteria of refund. receive advice in writing commuted as follows

Where cancellation is requested 60 days prior to arrival: 10% of the Tour/service cost

Where cancellation is requested 45 days prior to arrival: 20% of the Tour/service cost

Where cancellation is requested 15 days prior to arrival: 25% of the Tour/service cost

Where cancellation is requested 07 days prior to arrival: 50% of the Tour/service cost

Where cancellation is done less than 72 hours prior or there is no show, the entire amount paid-up will be forfeited.

Once the money is paid, it shall be assumed that an agreement has been established. All Cancellations and refunds for any monies made are subject to a percentage cancellation for credit cards, PayPal, online payments or bank transfers.

In case of special offers, for group road tours and peak season for hotel bookings a separate cancellation policy is applicable (which can be advised as and when required).

We will process your cancellation/refund request within one to seven business days (1-7). We will NOT acknowledge any verbal / over-the-phone request or voice mail. Verbally speaking with our customer service representatives without the company receiving a written request will not guarantee that your cancellation has been processed or acknowledged.

SOME CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICIES ARE OUT OF OUR TENDER
Flight cancellations, refunds, compensations, changes of travel dates, etc. will be governed by the specific airline terms and conditions and all charges shall be borne by the clients.

Refund for hotel payment will follow the hotel’s cancellation policy

Train tickets cancellations will follow the Railway’s policy

Flight tickets cancellations will follow the airline’s company policy

In case you cancel the trip after commencement, the refund would be restricted to a limited amount only which too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers/ contractors we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation & missed meals, etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.

OUR LIABILITIES & LIMITATIONS
Please note that after the finalization of the Tour/ service Cost, if there is any increase in entrance fees of parks, monuments/museums, Taxes, fuel cost or guide charges by the agency involved the same would be charged as extra.

Bucketlist represents the Principal as agents only AND ACCORDINGLY ACCEPTS NO LIABILITY for any loss, damage (including loss of profits or consequential or special damages), injury, illness, harm or death (except if such loss or damage arises from the gross negligence or wilful misconduct of Bucketlist or any person acting for or controlled by Bucketlist which any Client may suffer as a result of any act or omission on the part of or the failure of the Principal to fulfill their obligations, whether in relation to travel arrangements, accommodation or otherwise. When you make a booking with us, you acknowledge and agree that we act only as an agent for the third-party service provider, which is solely responsible to provide you with the travel or service which you have booked. The contract in use by the Principal (which is often constituted by the ticket issued by the Principal), shall constitute the sole contract between the Principal and the Client, and any RIGHT OF RECOURSE the Client may have, will be solely against the Principal. Bucketlist shall, as soon as possible after the confirmation of the Client’s booking, provide to the Client the identity of the Principal.

Please be advised that when making an online booking it is not possible to display the fare conditions of a particular ticket. Should you wish to inquire about this before confirming a booking you should contact a Live Agent for assistance.

AMENDMENTS
Bucketlist reserves the right to make changes to these terms and conditions without further notice to the Client. In this instance, the terms and conditions applicable at the time of making the booking will remain relevant to the respective booking.

CONFIDENTIALITY
Subject to statutory constraints or compliance with an order of the court, Bucketlist undertakes to deal with all Client information of a personal nature on a strictly confidential basis.

SOCIAL MEDIA
You agree that your use of our social media pages which include but are not limited to Facebook pages, Instagram, Twitter, will not be defamatory, unlawful, obscene, offensive, hateful, abusive, inflammatory, threatening, invasive of anyone’s privacy, or otherwise contain objectionable comments and/or content. We do not tolerate any form of discrimination on grounds of race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, religion or belief, sexual orientation, being a transsexual person, or age.

We reserve the right to remove any comment, thread or content without prior warning to you. We also reserve the right to bring legal proceedings against any individual for a breach of these rules or law generally or take such other action as we reasonably deem appropriate.

FORCE MAJEURE
In the event that a trip, event or expedition is cancelled due to events beyond our control eg Pandemics, Strikes, Violence, Floods, Acts of nature/God, sudden government directives etc then we shall consider a fairground in the possible rescheduling of the booked event/trip considering all the prevailing conditions at that particular time.

We reserve the right to cancel arrangements. If this should happen, other than due to default in payment, we will offer the choice of alternative arrangement (and paying or receiving a refund in respect of any price difference) or receiving a full refund of all the monies paid. If we are forced to curtail a tour after departure to circumstances amounting to force majeure, we regret we cannot make any refunds or pay any compensation or be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by you as a result

LAW & JURISDICTION
For all complaints, suits, claims, or disputes of whatsoever nature relating to any products offered by The Expedition Company, will be under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Laws of Kenya.

By agreeing to these terms and conditions upon making your booking you agree to accept these conditions.
