Description
If you have driven along the Great North road past Isiolo, then this flat-topped stunning mountain needs no introduction. Mount Ololokwe (known as Ol Donyo Sabache) is located on Namunyak Conservancy in Samburu East. The mountain rises out of the Samburu plains and is around 2000 ASL at its highest point. This trip gives you a chance to climb up on the elephant trails and camp at the top. What’s better than sunset and sunrise from this point? The views from the southern end of the mountain are to die for with the Mathews Range, Cat and mouse and surrounding plains clearly visible. The long black great north road snakes its way into the horizon from this viewpoint
