About Apollo Children’s Park
Apollo Children’s Science Park is a premier and pioneer park in Kenya and Africa that seeks to introduce and promote science and technology among children. The brainchild of David Kimani, a pioneer, and promoter of alternative education programs in Kenya, the Science Park seeks to demonstrate how things work thereby answering many daily children’s questions, capture and demonstrate the advancement in technology over the last 100 years by exhibiting items that show technological transfers over this period as well as bring to life the lessons that children learn in class through practical demonstrations. The science park introduces children to various sciences and technologically based careers and therefore helps shape and inspire future careers in the sciences.
Activities of the Day
We will pick up the participants from a central location in Nairobi for this tour at 0700hrs. You can also opt to drop them off at the Park by 0900hrs. The children will be engaged in various activities at the site including but not limited to the following before winding up at 1500hrs.
Science Museum Tour
A tour that takes Children through various science and technology advancements over the last century and beyond. This includes telecommunication, human medicine, audiovisual systems, and agriculture. The tour is aimed at provoking innovation in young learners.
Hands-On science activities
We will do architectural Modelling, Planting, Basic Science Experiments, Solar and Wind Power Generation, lessons on Biodiversity among others.
