Hike Summary

Join this exploratory hike with a team of Adventure lovers. This expedition will take you through the stunning and unspoiled scenery of the Sagana Riverline, tracing the upper reaches of Kenya’s largest river. Beginning at the river camp in Sagana, we’ll cross the river via a bridge before delving into the forest trail. Along the way, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views stretching from Kilimambogo to the Aberdares and beyond, with the Sagana River winding its way below.

The trail then drops off to the forest station & an interesting observation point. The next hill Kiamuti beckons as you climb it up and back down to the “canyon of Sagana” a hells gate type of attraction with fascinating features.

The hike concludes with an overnight camp back at Sagana, where we’ll enjoy a night filled with lively games and a cozy bonfire.

What to Carry

1. Comfortable hiking boots/Shoes.
2. Long Pants and Long sleeved top/light jacket recommended
3. Plenty of drinking water 2-3 litres
4. Sunhat, Sunscreen, Sunglasses
5. Any personal medication
6. Day Pack /Small Bag to carry your personal items
