AMAZING MAASAI MARATHON 2024

26 April, 2024

AMAZING MAASAI MARATHON 2024

The Venue: Loldaiga Conservancy and Maiyanat Community Conservancy

The Amazing Maasai Marathon is a wilderness experience set in the scenic landscapes of Laikipia County. The trails will give runners the unique experience of running through the wildlife conservation areas of Loldaiga Hills Conservancy and Maiyanat Community Conservancy.

Loldaiga Hills is known for its scenic hills with 360-degree views, open plains teaming with wildlife, and a host of watering holes that make animal spotting easy.

The Maiyanat Conservancy is one of the areas with real Maasai culture still intact and participants will have the chance to experience it.

The Cause: Amazing Maasai Girls Project

The Amazing Maasai Marathon is the primary fundraising event for the Amazing Maasai Girls Project, both of which were established in 2011 by Sarah Edson and Molly Fitzpatrick, also copied here. Since establishing the marathon, they have sent 200 girls from the local Masai communities to secondary school, each with four-year scholarships. Since 2021, Puma has also been funding a running club for students of the school. We are proud to be combining academics and athletics as we foster a community of educated, ambitious young women!
