The Challenge

Are you a hard-core athlete, a wheelchair user or a once-a-week jogger? Do you want to wear fancy dress, or do you plan to give the Catcher Car a serious challenge? Perfect! Everybody is welcome in the Wings for Life World Run! Together, we’re running for those who can’t.

The Wings for Life World Run is a truly unique and global race for both runners and wheelchair participants. Instead of a finish line, competitors race side by side to keep ahead of the Virtual Catcher Car. Now in its ninth year, on May 7, 2023 Wings for Life World Run participants in Kenya can also run together in Nairobi.

Meet up with your friends, download the Wings for Life World Run App, and join all the other people running until the Virtual Catcher Car catches you of course. The race starts at exactly 2023-05-07 14:00:00. The Virtual Catcher Car takes off 30 minutes after the start at 14 km/h and steadily increases its speed until the last athletes have been caught. 100% of all donations and the entry fees go directly into spinal cord research projects.

Venue: Karura Forest 

The race will take place in one of the most beautiful forest trails in Nairobi – Karura Forest. Starting at the Amani Garden picnic site. There will be a vending stations with food, water and Red Bull on sale.

How to Join the Challenge

1.Participants will be required to pay a registration fee of KES 1200 to the MPESA Paybill 7733330,  Account(your name-WFL). You’ll receive a voucher code to complete registration
2. Download the Wings For Life World Run App and follow these steps
* Scroll to  FIND A LOCATION on the App
* Select Nairobi Karura Forest, Kenya
* Click REGISTER, fill out your details and Click Next
* Skip Entry Fee Boost, and click NEXT STEP
* Enter your Voucher Code (INT *******) click APPLY
* Confirm your details, and click PURCHASE.

You’ll see your start number on your App, and a confirmation message on your email.
